Leaving an unsafe situation is only the first step. Rebuilding a career and financial independence afterwards is often the hardest part — and the part with the least affordable support.
Pathways for Women offers trauma-informed support at a significantly discounted rate, delivered entirely online for privacy and safety, including:
One-on-one online career counselling with practitioners trained in trauma-informed practice
Resume, interview, and job-search coaching tailored to people re-entering the workforce after time away
Confidence-building and workplace-readiness workshops (delivered via video call)
Referral partnerships with domestic violence support services, financial counsellors, and legal aid, so participants get wraparound support, not just a job plan
Employer connections with businesses committed to flexible, safe, supportive hiring
Confidentiality note: All information shared with AHCDC through this program is kept strictly private. Sessions take place online, which many participants find safer and more flexible than an in-person office visit. Participants can access support without needing to disclose their situation to employers.
